Things were as bad as they could get in Limehouse. There wasn’t a bank in Europe that would lend it any more money though you’d never have guessed it from appearances. It was business as usual at the House of Fleeting where Miss Limehouse was brand ambassador. Fanny Adams who worked there as a seamstress was as miserable as she had ever been.
